Prosthetics is a part of dentistry dealing with the restoration of functional and aesthetic balance in the oral cavity. There can be two types of prosthetics – removable and permanent.
The permanent prosthetics include partial crowns, crowns, bridge structures, prosthetics on implants. Permanent prosthetics – various types of prostheses in case that permanent prosthetics is impossible.
It is important for the patient to have their missing teeth restored through a prosthetic structure in time, as ignoring such a problem can lead to permanent changes that hinder future prosthetics.
Children’s dentistry is a part of the dental medicine dealing with the prevention and treatment of caries and non-caries diseases in children’s oral system.
Care for both temporary and permanent children’s teeth is important for the formation of a healthy and complete chewing apparatus.
Properly conducted prevention, including instructions for maintaining oral hygiene, nutrition, fluoride prophylaxis, silanization under the guidance of your dentist can protect the child from future development of dental problems and save them numerous visits and interventions.
Often neglected care for the primary teeth can lead to damage to the germs of the permanent teeth.
Take your child to regular examinations from an early age and trust our specialists.
Implantology is a branch of modern dentistry that aims at functional and aesthetic restoration of already lost teeth without a need for filing the neighboring teeth.
The implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed in the jawbone. The implant knits together with the bone, thus creating a strong foundation for the crown, just as it is with the natural tooth.
After the complete osseointegration of the implant to the existing bone, a suprastructure analogous to a filed tooth stump is installed on the part located in the bone, on which the final crown is built, replacing the missing tooth.
After completing the treatment, it is impossible to see at first glance the difference between the ordinary tooth and the tooth on the implant.
The implant is made of titanium – a material that is bio-tolerable and is used very often in general medicine.
The durability of implants is several decades, but highly depends on patient’s lifestyle, general health, regular medical examinations and the quality of the dental hygiene.
Periodontology is this part of dentistry that deals with periodontal diseases. This is the supporting structure of the teeth that includes the gums, the alveolar bone and the connective tissue located between them.
The symptoms complained by patients with periodontitis are most often bleeding, swelling and pain of the gums, bad breath, retention of food between the teeth and mobility of the teeth.
The treatment of gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) and periodontitis (inflammation of the periodontium) requires active care by the patient. The treatment passes in several phases.
The initial one is aimed at overcoming the inflammation in the oral cavity. This phase includes cleaning and polishing the teeth, curing the caries and its complications, and extraction of teeth beyond repair. The second, corrective phase is associated with periodontal surgery. This phase can be resective, regenerative and mucogingival.
The resective procedure consists in the removal of excess inflamed soft tissue (gingivectomy, gingivoplasty) or hard tissue (osteotomy, osteoplasty).
Regenerative procedure is the grafting of a bone replacement material in areas where there are indications for tissue regeneration.
Mucogingival surgery is the treatment of recessive (receding) gums by grafting tissues (most often from the palate) into the deficit area.
After conducting the periodontal surgery and successful quiescence of the disease, the prosthetic phase starts. This phase involves placing crowns, bridges, dentures or implants.
The final stage of treatment is the maintenance phase, which is expressed in individually scheduled maintenance visits to clean the teeth and re-evaluate the disease.
DentaPuls Dental Clinic has a specialized surgical office, which is equipped with the most modern equipment (special surgical chair of last generation, separate aspiration system, implantology motor, Piezosurgery) and tools that help to the precision performance of surgical procedures.
Oral surgery is a branch of dentistry that involves mastering of both urgent and irreversible processes and scheduled ones.
The following surgery is performed:
- non-operative and operative tooth extractions
- surgical extractions of impacted (retained in the bone) and semi-impacted teeth – most often wisdom teeth, canine teeth
- surgical treatment of inflammatory processes (abscesses, phlegmons)
- surgical treatment of cysts and tumors
- preprosthetic and pre-implant surgery
- preservation of the alveoli after extraction;
- augmentation of the alveolar crest by means of bone-replacement materials or bone blocks;
- sinus lift;
- surgical treatment of injuries in the maxillofacial area
Orthodontics is this part of dentistry that deals with the deviations of individual teeth, dental arcs and jaws. The right arrangement contributes to a better function as well as to a more aesthetically pleasing smile look. Orthodontic treatment can also serve to prevent future dental problems (such as cavities and gum inflammation).
The treatment is carried out in the following order:
- initial consultation
- diagnostics
- active orthodontic treatment and retention stage (retention of the result achieved)
The diagnostics includes: taking impressions (for the purpose of casting plaster models), photos and radiographs. Based on these diagnostic methods, an analysis is made and a precise treatment plan is prepared.
The devices we use for the treatment can be removable and fixed.
The removable ones (or splints) are mainly used at child’s age. They are made of plastic and have wire elements that serve to hold the appliances and move the teeth in the correct position.
The treatment with fixed devices uses dental braces. Ceramic braces are used when there is a greater need for discretion. With good aesthetics, small size and proven strength, they provide high comfort for the patients.
The treatment with metal braces, on the other hand, provides very precise and faster movements of teeth to achieve an ideal result.
Therapy or conservative dental treatment is this part of dentistry that deals with the treatment of caries and its complications (pulpitis and periodontitis). Dental caries is a pathological process that involves demineralization and destruction of hard dental tissues.
The initial stage of caries is reversible, as the process progresses, it becomes necessary to remove the diseased tissues (dentin, pulp) and their subsequent obturation.
Our clinic h as the most modern materials and equipment with which aesthetic fillings can be made, as well as for treating and filling the root canals. This ensures the successful course of treatment and the healing process.
